Podcasting
Podcasts are audio files that can be subscribed to from the internet. They utilise the RSS technology which means that using a news reader or iTunes one can automatically get the files to the computer as soon as they are uploaded, and there is no need to check any site regularly.
The main advantage of podcasting is its ability to offer specialised audio that targets very specific markets. This is something that the older media does not offer, and therefore this gives us a competitive advantage to serve corporations and institutions individually. Podcasts are part of effective web presence for any company or organisation, and therefore we accompany our stories with web text and images.
With the advent of the internet and other new technologies, such as MP3 players and more advanced mobile phones, there is a growing market for online based audio products. While some parts of the society might not necessarily have good access to the internet, there is an increase in those who do, thus more people can keep abreast with the trends.
If you don’t have a news reader already you can easily sign up for one here or download the iTunes from here.
