Voxpop Africa Media is an audio production company. Our approach to the services we offer is holistic while selling the individual audio products, we also provide customised media solutions to organisations and institutions. In order to achieve optimal results for the clients, we use our media experience in, a) the planning and researching of the concept, b) collecting and producing the audio, c) creating audio packages, and d) placing the products strategically in the relevant media vehicles (such as radio and online environment as podcast or downloadable audio)

Features

Features are supplementary material that can expand, contextualise and create a platform for local, regional and national debates around various topics, and offer supporting material for the programmes on radio stations.

Documentaries

Our approach to producing documentaries is largely similar to the one of the features, with the exception of them being less purpose driven and more subject to interpretation. We want to enable people to tell their own stories and express ideas, and create the narrative by finding the best possible balance between the interviewees, other audio material and voice-overs.

Voxpop Africa offers these with the highest standard of content, audio and packaging as our team has been dealing with such material in our previous jobs learning their strengths, weaknesses and uses. We cover the topics from various angles so that they are both informative and interesting. By avoiding the pitfalls of long interview clips and statements, we can make important topics, such as politics, global warming, development aid etc, to make sense to people.

Our intention is to produce material that is conscious, thought provoking and relevant in a simplistic and clear manner. Besides the straight forward interviews, we employ other creative ways of collecting the audio, so that our final products could be more enjoyable, and the information easier to digest. This will help the listeners and the radio stations to build on the information packages in a ways they see the most fitting.

Podcasting

Podcasts are audio files that can be subscribed to from the internet. They utilise the RSS technology which means that using a news reader or iTunes one can automatically get the files to the computer as soon as they are uploaded, and there is no need to check any site regularly.

The main advantage of podcasting is its ability to offer specialised audio that targets very specific markets. This is something that the older media does not offer, and therefore this gives us a competitive advantage to serve corporations and institutions individually. Podcasts are part of effective web presence for any company or organisation, and therefore we accompany our stories with web text and images.
